Keith Tilley currently holds NED and Advisory positions with a number of IT services companies, including FortressAS where he serves in the board assisting the CEO and other board members in growing this provider of End to end cybersecurity and resiliency services. In previous NED position he has assisted software companies in their long-term planning and subsequent sale from private holding into VC ownership.

Until late 2017, as Executive Vice President and Vice-Chair of Sungard Availability Services (SungardAS a £1.2bn global IT Services company), having global responsibility for market strategy, marketing, channels and consulting.  Keith provided executive sponsorship for major customers and prospects, focusing on creating opportunities to drive growth and success of the company, while ensuring the company delivers to meet its customers’ business objectives. In the previous 30 years he held executive P&L positions responsible for growth of the UK & European business.

Keith brings almost 40 years of business operations and sales leadership experience. Joining SungardAS in November 2001 when the Company acquired Comdisco. Prior to that, he worked for Failsafe ROC Ltd., Istel, and Rover Cars – progressing from the IT department to operations manager, then moving into various commercial and product management roles.

Initially working as business development director in the UK for FailSafe ROC, Keith held roles in marketing, business development and service delivery before becoming managing director for Comdisco’s UK and European operations. During this time, he managed the expansion of the business from a single line in only two locations, to multiple platforms and services. This included high availability and web services across nearly 30 facilities throughout Europe and India.

When SungardAS moved to a global functional structure (from geographic) Keith became responsible for all global customer facing areas – Sales, Marketing, Solutioning, Customer Services and Consultancy prior to becoming Vice-Chair at the end of 2016.

He believes success and growth in any business stems from its two most important assets, namely staff and customers. Keith has been widely quoted on Information Availability matters in business, national and trade press, such as the Financial Times, The Wall Street Journal Europe, Computing and IT Week. He has also appeared on the BBC’s Business Breakfast, Sky News and Meridian TV as well as BBC Radio 4’s The Bottom Line.

Keith is a Chartered Director of IoD, Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts and his deep knowledge of Business Continuity, Disaster Recovery, Risk and Security culminated in peer recognition of Lifetime achievement award CIR Business Continuity Awards 2015.

Keith lives in Hampshire with his wife, Hilary. He has two grown up children and three grandsons and 13-year old twins who were adopted from Guatemala. He is an avid Manchester United fan and a follower of music, especially of The WHO, which in his opinion, is the greatest Rock Band in the world!
